Putin Says Russia–China Education Ties Hold “Limitless” Potential
(MENAFN) Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that cooperation between Russia and China in the field of education holds “limitless” potential, according to reports.
The remarks came during the launch of the cross-years of education initiative in Beijing alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping. Putin expressed full support for the program, saying he “completely” agrees with Xi on the importance of strengthening educational ties between the two countries.
Xi, for his part, described education as “an important bridge that connects the hearts of the people and consists the friendly relations between the countries.”
Putin noted that the initiative marks the 10th major bilateral humanitarian project between Moscow and Beijing, with both sides regularly choosing specific sectors for cross-year cooperation in order to boost collaboration in targeted areas.
He added, citing a Russian scientist, that Russia and China have already formed 15 inter-university associations and continue to expand academic and scientific cooperation, reflecting deepening institutional links between the two countries.
